What does Class 1 certification mean?
Class 1 is the highest class in the construction capability certificate system. An organization holding a Class 1 certificate can take on design and review assignments for works of every grade within its licensed field, with no limit on scale.
Can the design unit and verification unit be the same?
No. By regulation, the review must be carried out by an organization independent of the designer. Whichever role CGD takes, it does not take the other on the same set of documents.
What does the review result include?
The review report states clearly what passes, what needs revision with the supporting standards, and a quantity reconciliation table — plus the cost estimate if cost review is included.
